Dr. Abeer Al-Humaimeedy stands at the forefront of digital transformation in Saudi Arabia. As an esteemed academic at King Saud University (KSU) and the visionary founder of the Blockchain and WEB3 Lab (Blockh), she bridges academic excellence with real-world innovation. Her work spans education, government, and emerging technologies, making her one of the most influential figures in the Kingdom’s tech landscape.
Dr. Abeer currently serves as a Digital Transformation Advisor, where she oversees high-impact projects across various Saudi governmental institutions. She is also the CEO of #I_speak_tech, a pioneering platform that empowers individuals with digital literacy and encourages inclusive participation in the tech world.
Her leadership journey includes serving as the General Director of Student Information Systems at the Ministry of Education and acting as an Emerging Technologies Advisor at the National Digital Transformation Unit within the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. These roles reflect her commitment to driving systemic change and innovation at the national level.
Beyond her governmental contributions, Dr. Abeer actively supports the social impact of technology. She serves as a Board Member of Tawasol Charity for Assistive Technologies, advocating for the use of tech to improve accessibility. She is also a member of the Technical Advisors Committee at the Misk Innovation Diwan, shaping the future of Saudi innovation. Previously, she was a key contributor to the Coordinating Committee of the Gulf Observatory for Artificial Intelligence in Education, under the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States.
Academically, Dr. Abeer holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from King’s College London. Her research in cloud computing and emerging technologies has been featured in leading scientific journals and international conferences, earning her recognition as a thought leader in the digital space.
